Tactical Eulogy

A collection of wearables that continues my research into traditional crafts, bringing the intricate leather & metal techniques of medieval Europe into the present the collection draws a parallels between medieval armor & modern clothing, with self-defense as the unifying thread, both serving as means s of protection, status, & self-expression. in response to the uncertainty of contemporary life, these pieces become a second skin: a way to reclaim agency, embody confidence & move through the world with resilience. together, the garments form the character of a knight who channels strength & adaptability, offering a response to the emotional & cultural need for protection today.

The collection consist of:

Fullmetal Armored Boots. inspired by gothic armor, traditional hiking boots and iceskates, with a neoprene sock lining for a tech element with a fantasy flair. A collection of laser cut steel pieces comes together to create a floating heel structure that supports aluminum armor plates.

Armored cap inspired by European “lobster tail” Burganet helmet and a Japanese Kabuto. Sharp edges and spikes give it a gothic fantasy look with a chainmail mullet gives it a contemporary hiking silhouette.

Leather gloves with a stacked laser cut aluminum plates. lastly an upcycled chainmail shirt styled like a vintage football jersey.
